ID Thief Steals Private Information of Minnesota Women

Man simulating Consumer protection advocate and attorney at Peterson Legal

Awesome article in the Atlantic's April issue about several Minnesota women who were all preyed on by the same identity thief who they met on an online dating website. I know the term typically used is “identity theft victim”, but a more appropriate term would be “identity theft avengers.” The article is titled The Perfect Man Who Wasn't.

One thing I found interesting was the difficulty some of the women had with banks, including Chase, refusing to reverse unauthorized charges. This is the type of thing that makes my blood boil and is really the perfect situation in which to speak with an identity theft attorney.

Please email or give me a call if you have more specific questions regarding your own situation.
